Welcome to Motino
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) explain the rules for accessing and using the Motino website and online motion graphics editor (together, the “Service”). Please read them before using Motino.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that applicable consumer law gives you.
Who can use Motino
You may use Motino only where doing so is lawful for you. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms on your own, please ask a parent or legal guardian to review them with you and provide any permission required by law.
You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to you and to the content you create, import, or publish.
Using the editor
Motino lets you work with graphics, text, images, animation, and other supported assets through a browser-based editor. Available functions, supported formats, and export options may change as the product develops.
Please use the Service for lawful creative work and follow any technical limits or instructions displayed in the editor. Do not rely on a preview as proof that an exported file will be identical; review your final export before publishing or delivering it.
Your content and projects
Your original content remains yours. Motino does not claim ownership of the original materials you bring to the editor or the original creative expression you make using it. The rights you have in a finished project depend on the content it contains and on applicable intellectual property law.
You are responsible for the materials you add, including the rights to use photographs, fonts, graphics, music, videos, logos, and other third-party content. Using Motino does not itself grant you rights in materials that belong to someone else.
Permission to process content
When you use the editor, you authorize Motino to handle the content you provide only to the extent reasonably needed to deliver the actions and features you request, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to Motino or give Motino a general right to publish, market, or sell your projects. The exact way files and projects are processed or stored depends on the feature and is described in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party assets and rights
Some projects may include assets, software components, or external services provided by others. Their own licenses or terms may apply. You are responsible for checking any restrictions on use, editing, redistribution, or commercial publication of those materials.
Motino does not guarantee that every item available through a browser, external source, or imported file is licensed for every intended use.
Use Motino responsibly
To protect users and the Service, you agree not to:
- Use Motino to create, distribute, or upload unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or malicious content.
- Violate anyone’s privacy, publicity rights, intellectual property rights, or other legal rights.
- Interfere with the Service, bypass security measures, probe systems without permission, or attempt to introduce malware.
- Use automated access or excessive requests in ways that disrupt the Service or other users.
- Misrepresent your identity or falsely suggest that Motino endorses your content.
We may take reasonable action to protect the Service against misuse, where permitted by law.
Saving work and exports
You are responsible for keeping copies of important files, project data, and exported videos. Do not treat the editor as your only backup. A browser session, local storage, device issue, software bug, or service interruption could affect a project or an export.
Check your downloaded files and keep the source materials needed to recreate your work. Motino does not promise permanent cloud storage or recovery of projects.
Motino’s intellectual property
Motino’s name, branding, website design, original interface, and proprietary content belong to Motino or its licensors, as applicable. Except where separately licensed or allowed by law, you may not copy or redistribute those elements as a competing service.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive permission to access and use the Service for its intended purposes while these Terms apply. This permission does not transfer ownership of Motino’s software or brand.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Motino useful and reliable, but the Service may sometimes be unavailable, interrupted, or changed. We may improve, fix, remove, or replace features and supported formats, including when required for security, technical, or legal reasons.
When a material change affects how the Service works, we will use reasonable efforts to communicate it where appropriate. If you do not want to use the changed Service, you may stop using it.
Privacy and information
Our Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you visit the website, use editor features, or contact us. Please review it alongside these Terms.
If you send us feedback or a support message, we may use it to respond and to improve Motino. Please avoid sending passwords, payment credentials, or other information that is unnecessary for the request.
Important service limitations
Like any creative software, Motino may contain bugs, compatibility issues, or differences between previews and exports. We do not promise that every feature will work without interruption on every browser, device, or file.
We are responsible for losses or harm to the extent required by applicable law. We do not accept responsibility for problems we did not cause or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the Service was used.
Misuse and access restrictions
When reasonably necessary, we may restrict access to the Service to address security threats, technical abuse, unlawful activity, or serious violations of these Terms. We will act proportionately and in accordance with applicable law.
You can stop using Motino at any time. If you have questions about an access restriction or believe one is a mistake, contact us using the details below.
Updates to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect product updates, changes to our practices, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the current version.
For material changes, we will provide notice when appropriate and required. Updated Terms apply prospectively as permitted by law; continuing to use Motino after the applicable effective date means you accept them, where legally valid.
Questions and legal matters
For questions about these Terms, copyright concerns, or reports of misuse, email hello@motino.app or visit the Contact page.
Any disputes are subject to applicable law and the rights and procedures available in your jurisdiction. These Terms do not require you to give up consumer protections that the law makes mandatory.
